Interesting Question and Answer Response from Tony DiCicco
What do you think is the most important quality of a Keeper? Rock ON!
-- Shawn-Marie from Atlanta, GA
When I was recruiting 'keepers, I looked at two qualities. No. 1 is
athleticism and No. 2 is mental skills. I can coach technique and tactics,
but it's a lot harder to coach special athletic skills and real hard to
coach mental skills that give the keeper and their team an edge. Briana
Scurry epitomized this concept while I coached her with the Women's National
Team.
