Question 1: What is the site for the 2008 Christmas Inter-Regional Event?
Answer
: The site is the Sahlen Sports Park in Elma, New York.

Question 2: How do I let the Regional ODP Administrator know that my daughter will be attending the 2008 Christmas Inter-Regional Event?
Answer:
In the invite package there contained an Event Response Form. This form is to be filled out and return to the Region I Girls ODP Administrator on or before November 15, 2008. You can fax to 215-657-7740 or mail to Charlotte Moran, 2 Village Road, Suite 3, Horsham, PA 19044.

Question 3: What is the fee for this event?
Answer: The mandatory participation fee for this event is $250.00. Make your check payable to Region I Girls ODP and mail to Adele Dolansky, Region I Administrator, 10722 Ames Street, Fairfax, VA 22032.

Question 4: Who pays for the transportation costs, lodging and meal costs?
Answer: It is the responsibility of each family to pay for the transportation costs. Lodging and meal costs and transportation costs to practice and games will be taken care of by Region I.

Question 5: Where will be the players, Region I Coaching Staff and Administrator be lodged?
Answer: They will be staying in the Adams Mark Hotel, 120 Church Street, Buffalo, NY 14202, Phone Number: 716-845-5100.

Question 6: If I as a parent will be traveling with my daughter to this event can I stay in the same hotel as the team?
Answer: No, parents must call and make their reservations at the following hotels.  Click here for a list of hotels

Question 7: My daughter will be flying into the Buffalo airport for this event is there a specific time we should have her arriving into the Buffalo airport.
Answer: Yes the arrival time at the Buffalo Airport should be between 1:00pm and 3:00pm on Friday, December 26, 2008 so she can be picked up by regional staff and taken to the Adams Mark Hotel.

Question 8: If my daughter is flying can she fly into any other airport and be picked up by regional staff: Answer: NO!

Question 9: Should I send my daughter with pocket money for this event?
Answer: While all players will be very busy at this event, the staff will try and get the team out for some relaxation and fun so it is suggested that each player brings $20.00 to $30.00 for this purpose.

Question 10: While attending this event as a parent can I go to my daughter’s hotel room or can she come to visit me in my hotel?
Answer: The regional staff welcomes the support of all parents. However, parents may not, under any circumstances, go to the player’s room and players may not go to their parent’s hotel room.

Question 11: What clothing should my daughter bring for this event?
Answer: The Regional ODP will supply uniforms for any games. Players should remember to bring indoor shoes, shin guards and a change of clothing on the plane with them in a carryon. Bring training gear (shorts and t-shirts, dark and light, adidas if possible. Slide pants (tights) may be worn under shorts if they are the same color as the shorts and may not extend more than 3 inches below the shorts. However, they may not reach the top of the knee. Solid white or navy goes with our uniforms. Please bring both outdoor and indoor shoes.

In addition, we will be eating our meals at the hotel dining room. It is requested that each player bring a few appropriate types of clothes. For these meals you can wear jeans, sneakers and a casual top.

Question 12: Should my daughter bring her soccer ball?
Answer: YES and clearly marked with her name on it.
